NUVA comprises 917 vaccine codes (742 for concrete vaccines and 175 for abstract vaccines), making an estimated completeness of 76%.

Unambiguous by design, NUVA has 100% value on the precision index.

Like the CVC, NUVA is an ontology expressing the functions of each vaccine, either actual or generic, through the notion of valence. It carries all necessary information to run a decision support system. Its informativeness index is set at 100%

Beside the formal label for each concept, NUVA also includes the usual abbreviations for brand names. Generic designations are expressed in French and English, their translation to four other languages (German, Portuguese, Ukrainian and Russian) is ongoing. The paper trails inclusiveness index is set to 100%.

NUVA already includes alignments with 15 code systems, giving a digital trails inclusiveness index of 30%.

With the exploration of the valence tree, it is possible to translate from a NUVA code not only to exactly equivalent codes, but also to approached representations like SNOMED-CT. The translatability index is set to 100%.
